    Tet Offensive
    The North Vietnamese join forces with the Viet Cong to launch the Tet Offensive. Doing so, approximately 100 south Vietnamese cities and towns were attacked. The Communists did not succeed in maintaining control over any part of South Vietnam.

    Disaster struck at Kent State. Four students were killed in a clash with the National Guard.Some of the students who were shot had been protesting against the Cambodian Campaign. Other students who were shot had been walking nearby or observing the protest from a distance.
