    Bertie the Brain was the first publicly demonstrated game. It was created in 1950 by Josef Kates for the Canadian National Exhibition. It was a program that could challenge players in a simple game of tic- tac-toe.

    A physicist named William Higinbotham made a simple game called Tennis for two, similar to Pong, just years before. It was developed in just a couple months and was very popular at his convention, but it was never released publicly.

    Spacewar was a game released to the public on the west coast of America in 1962. It was a game where you played against someone as two spaceships battling each other. It was inspired by space fiction stories by E. E. Smith.

It was created by Richard Merril, who invented to FOCAL programming language.

    Pong was a game created by Atari, or Allan Alcorn and Nolan Bushnell. It was game like table tennis, and inspired the world.

    The Magnavox Odyssey was the first ever video game home console, and was created by Ralph H. Bear. It wasn't well recieved, was forgotten over the years.

    The spark of the arcade games, was Space Invaders, made by Taito, then was followed by Asteroids, Galaxian, Defender, Missile Command, Tempest, Galaga, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Ms. Pac-Man, and finally Q*bert. The golden age of arcade games ended with the release of Atari's home console.
