    victor hugo had no idea that in 1831 when he released his book Notre-Dame de Paris that it would become a world wide famous pheominon. he wrote a book that would sell millions of copes and be translated into different languages like english. even in the United states, his book became popular enough to be released as a play in 1939, and a Disney movie in 1996.

    sitting in a cafe, doing his daily routiene, reading the newspaper, drinking coffee, victor come across a picture of a woman who looked very familiar, so victor decided to read the passage that followed, he had no idea he would be reading the most tragic storyabout his daughter Leopoldine's death. she was on a boat with her husband when she fell overboard, she drowned. the weight of her heavy skirt pulled her down and heald her under. so victor used his poetry skills and wrote "A Villequier"

    the great victor Hugo fled his home country in 1851 to avoid arrest from napolean's army. Victor made a huge stand againts Napolean and so Napolean sent out an army to arrest victor, so victor fled the country, he ran away to Brussels. victor also ran away to other places for he could not stay in one place for long, because he would have been found. victor spent a lot of time in the Channel Islands. he was the most famous person to ever live there.

    when victor hugo returned back home in 1870, hugo's timing couldnt be worse. victor hugo returned home during the siege by the Persians. food was so scarse, and victor didnt want to starve, so he took advantage of his only option. victor hugo had zoo workers from the paris Zoo, bring him animals from their zoo to eat to stay alive.

    Victor's daughter Adele was commited to the Maison de Madame rivet. also known as an insane aslyum. Adele was constantly found incoherently roaming the streets and had to be escorted home by authority figures. some people say she had problems with her husband, but she deffinately had something wrong with her mind in general. she was an air head to the point of nobody understood how. some say she was just a drunk. but her own father was so caught up in his life he did nothing to help or save her.

    victor hugo always wished to be burried under the Arc De Triomphe after he died. sadly his wishes could not come true. but Victor was laid out under the Arc De Triomphe for two days. after that on June 1st 1885, Victor Hugo was burried as a national hero. two million people gathered at the Arc De Triomphe the day he was burried, those two million people followed Victor's funeral progression.

    Victor Hugo had a very hard personal life, but a very successful bisnuess life. he battled problems with the death of all his kids except adele, he had struggles with his wife, his parents. but most of all Victor Hugo wrote Les Miserables, its on broadway and being made into a movie. to remember a story written 200 years ago and still be used today,it must be good. he was so talented, he was a visual artist, poet, playwright, novelist, essayist, statesman, & human rights campaigner.
