    How it changed US: After creating the Meat Inspection Act the meatpacking services aren't allowed to sell meat that has been altered to meet the grade that it doesn't deserve. Upton Sinclair wrote about the horrors that went on in Chicago when he decided to visit a packing industry and published the book "The Jungle" exposing their methods to the Nation.
