His first voyage was in 1492, wherein he discovered North America (Caribbean islands) and named it the West Indies. He will make four voyages to the new world without fully realizing what he had discovered.

    Middle passage

    The middle passage help enslaved african travel across the atlantic ocean to the new world. The crews that would usually man the ships were usually from Great Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, and France. The middle passage was also apart of the triangle trade.

    Jamestown was the first colony to settle in America. There was 105 people that arrived in three ships. They came in at the chesapeke bay on april 26th. The people of jamestown conducted business with the natives that shared the land.

    The southern colonies were all ranged from virginia all the way down to florida. Slavery played a very important in the carolina colonies. the carolina colony split into north and south carolina in 1729.

    Plymouth was the first colony. The colony arrived on the mayflower. They settled in cape cod otherwise known as present day massachusetts. A lot of the settlers passed away because of a harsh winter.

    The stamp act started soon after the French and Indian war and the Pontiac war.The stamp act was the act that would make you pay legal papers, news paper ect. The stamp act needed some tweaking so the sons of liberty were formed to fix it.

    The Boston massacre was an incident between the british troops and a crowd in boston. The townshend act was passed by the parliment. The people did not that the act got passed so they would vandalize and would harras the british troops.

    A total of 342 total chest of tea were thrown into the boston harbor that all belonged to the British. In 1773 the Tea act was passed by the parliment. The Tea act was made to help out the troubled East India company.

    The battles started between british regulars and American provinicials. General Thomas Gage ordered his troops to take over military stores in Concord. This is where Paul Revere heard that the British were coming and warned everyone.

    valley forge was like the home base for George Washington and his army. Washington stayed at valley forge with his 11,000 troops for the winter. Valley forge was about 22 miles away from Philly thats where the British were.
