Reconstruction
The reconstruction addressed citezenship and the rights of the citezens. The reconstrution helped form the 14th and 15th amendment.. The Jim Crow laws were adopted during this time. The Klu Klux-Klan was formed during this time. -
The Industrial Revolution
It was part of the Gilded Age. This was the time of great progress and inventions. -
Imperialism
This was the era of the spanish American War, we fought Spain for the independence of Cuba. As a result of this war the US got more land. The US built the panama canal, this was a very large canal that helped transport goods across the US. We built the great white fleet to have a strong navy, because the country with the strongest navy would rule. -
World War One
This was a war to end all wars. It was from 1914-1919. It was between the allies France, Greta Britain, and Russia. The other allies were Germeny, Austria, and Hungary. They fought a bloody war that introduced a lot of new weapons. -
The Roaring 20's
The Roaring 20's was ther time with flappers, girls wanted more rights and started wereing short skirts and going to bars. This was also the age of new cultures and many new cities. -
Prohibition
Alchohal became illegal and was not allowed. There was illegal bars and people illegally drank alchohal. -
The Great Depression and the New Deal
This was a time when America was very bad economically. Not many people had jobs. Many people were poor and could not support a family. -
World War Two
This was the second world war. The bad or "Axis of Evil" in this war was Japan, Germany, and Italy. We were pulled into this war because of the bombing at Pearl Harbor. -
Pearl Harbor
Japan bombed Pearl Hrbor, Hawaii, during World War 2. This bombing completely caught the US off gaurd and killed a lot of their troops that were at Pearl Harbor. A lot of men did not want to enlist in the army after this attack. -
The Cold War
This was a War between the US and Russia. We were trying not to fall to the communist power. We sent spies , and they sent spies. -
The Gulf War
Many people thought it was for oil. This war was between Iraq and the US. Saddam Hussein was the dictator in Iraq and George Bush was the president in the US. This war was fought because Iraq had weapons of mass destrution. -
The Korean War
This war was between Korea and the United Nations. Both sides suffered severe casualties during this war. -
Vietnam War
It was between Vietnam and America. The US fought to end the spread of comunists. -
Semptember 11, 2001
This was the day when many people lost their lives in the twin towers because two planes were hijacked by al queda and crashed into them. This was because of Osama Bin Ladin. -
Invasion of Iraq
The US invaded Iraq. We killed a lot of Iraqis. The US tryed to end all terroism. -
Operation Enduring Freedon
This was the era of how America gained there freedom and slaves were freed. America was becoming free. -
Operation Iraqi Freedom
This was part of the out going war on terroism. This was part of the invasion of Iraq. We went to war with Iraq.
