    There was a brawl between the colonist and the british soilders The british soilders ended up firing at the colonist. Five colonist were murderd. The british soilders were put on trial for murder. since they sent the soilders to England and they were proven innoocent.

    This is when the colonist didnt like that the british were taxing the merchants for tea. So some colonists decided to dress up like Indians and go on three British tea ships and dumped 18,000 pounds. King George 111 was furious so he passed some laws called the Intolerable Acts

    Jefferson was the third president of the United States. He also was chosen to write Declaration of Independence because he was an well educated lawyer and he used the philosophies of John Locke.

    This was when America gained its Independence from the British. Its main quote stated that "all men are created equal" which meant that everyone has equal rights. It didnt apply to slaves, women and Native Americans but it would in the future.

    There will be two levels of government that would share fundemental power. The federal government would have the power to declare war, make peace and sign treaties. But there was no national law enforcement or no court system.

    It made Independence official in the United States. The United States spread from Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River and from Cananda to the Florida border. It didnt say that the British had to move there American forts.

    Daniel Shay was upset because he fought in the war for taxes but then his government taxes him to much. Then he gets a bunch farmers together to protest. But then it they started to become violent thus the conflict results in the Great Compromise.

    The first branch is the Legislative which creates laws. The next branch is the executive which carry outs laws. The third law is the Judicial which interprets the laws. There was also a system called the system of checks and balances so one wont have more power than the other.

    The Cabinet were George Washingtons most trusted advisors, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson and Henry Knox. Hamilton was his secretary of treasury, Jefferson was secretary of state and Knox was secretary of war.

    The Bill of Rights were ten amendments by that gave people there rights and freedom. It also limited the power of the federal government. But it didnt include native americans, slaves or women.
