Once Connor realizes he is going to be unwound he runs away, and meets two people Risa, and Lev.

Lev never trusted Connor and Risa so he decided he would turn all of them in when he got the chance, and he did.

In Unwind The story starts in Akron Ohio with the charecters Connor, Risa and Lev.

Connor and Risa are able to escape and they make it to a system of places that eventually brought them to a safe haven called the graveyard.

After staying in the graveyard for a while other kids get suspicious about the Admiral, the leader, and they rebel almost killing him.

After Risa Connor and Roland got the Admiral to the hospital, Roland tries to rat out Risa and Connor to the police, but it backfires for him because he is taken to the harvest camp aswell.

After a couple days at the camp Roland is unwound because his blood type is in high demand.

As Connor is entering the unwinding building, Lev and two of his friends are going to detonate themselves to blow up the buildig. lev doesn't detonate, but his friends do.

After surving the explosion, Connor and Risa Wake up in the hospital. Risa and connor are very injured and Risa opts out for a transplant, but is paralized from the waist down. Connor wasn't awake and had to get a transplant withought a choice. This arm looks firmiliar to him, it was Rolands' he knows because it has a shark tattoo.

In the conclusion of the book when Connor gets out of the hospital he goes back to the graveyard where he becomes the new leader of the graveyard.
