Barry Davis wrestled at the 1988 Seol olympic games weighing 125.5 pounds. He became an inductee into the Iowa wrestling hall of fame in 1999.

Barcelona

University of Iowa alum, Chris Campbell, won the bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona olympics.

Atlanta

Jul 19, 1996

Tom Brands won a gold medal for the United States at the 1996 Atlanta olympics. He is now the head coach of the University of Iowa's wrestling team and became an inductee to the hall of fame in 2001.

Sydney

Two former University of Iowa wrestlers won the bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney summer olympics: Terry Brands and Lincoln MclLravy.

Athens

Joe Williams represented Iowa at the 2004 olympics wrestling at 163 pounds in Athens. Williams was coached by Dan Gable while attending the Univeristy of Iowa.

Mike Zadick, Doug Schwab amd Steve Mocco are all former Univesity of Iowa wrestlers who competed in the 2008 olympic games. Steve Mocco recently placed third in the 2012 U.S. olympic team trials.
