    The Years of the Revolutionary War
    The Revolutionary War went from 1775 and ended 1783. The war was fought between Great Britain and the 13 colonies, who had support from; France, Netherlands, Spain, and Mysore. The final resulult was that Great Britain ost, and the United States were independent.
  • The Signing of the Declaration of Independence

    The Signing of the Declaration of Independence
    Adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence declared the 13 American colonies independent from Great Britain, and as a new nation; the United Sates of America.
  • Ratification of the United States Constitution

    Ratification of the United States Constitution
    The United States Constitution is the Supreme law of the land, and was adopted September 17, 1787, and went into effect March 4, 1789. Ever since the Constitution was in effect, it has been amended 27 times. The first ten of the amendment are calle the Bill of Rights.

    On April 30, 1803, Persident Thomas Jefferson makes the Louisian Purchase. This purchase from France, automaticily double the size of the United States. It is also the worlds largest ralistate deal, at 3 cents per acre, and a total of 15 million dollars. (American History, McDougal Littell)

    The Lewis and Clark Journey
    The the Spring of 1804, the Lwis and Clark expidition to the west began. The group inclueded 40 people, and two leaders, Captain Meriwether Lewis and Lieutenant William Clark.   • Zebulon Pike's Expidition

    Zebulon Pike's Expidition
    In 1806, an explorer named Zabulon Pike left St. Louis to explore the southern area of the Louisian Purchase. He took a southernly route to find the main source of the Red and Arkansas RIvers. After entering Spanish territry, the were arrested, and in 1807, they were freed in the United States.

    The Texas Revolution
    In 1833, Texans have had enough, they revolt against Mexico. On Febuary 23, 1836, The Battle of Alamo had started. 13 horriffic days later, it was over. On the final a total of seven texans died, and over 1,000 Mexicans died.

    From 1833 to 1847 the Mexican-American War took place. After it was over, America had gained Texas, and the California region.

    The California Gold Rush
    James Marshall, a carpander made an amazing discovery. James had foung gold, while building a sawmill in California.   • Fugitive Slave Act

    Fugitive Slave Act
    IN 1850, the Fugitive Slave Act was created to calm the political situation. It states that runaway slaves could be caught, and held without an arrest warrant. The slave could then be brought back down to their former owner in the south. Many southerners believed in this act because they could get their slaves back because slaves were their property.

    Uncle Tom's Cabin
    Published in 1852, Uncle Tom's Cabin showed the actual events happening in the South regarding slavery. It showed the cruel owners, and the families being torn apart. The Southners thought the book gave a false impression of slavery in the South. But in the North, the book became very famous and even a best seller.

    Bleeding Kansas
    In the Kansas Territory, the were more people who wanted slavery than there were who didn't. After 5,000 people from Missouri illeagaly voted for slavery, both proslavbery and antislavery people had a mini civil war. This area this happened at is now called "Bleeding Kansas."

  • The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln

    The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
    John Wilkes Booth assassinated president Abraham Lincoln, at Ford's Theater, Washington, D.C. He was shot in the head, and died the next day. John Wilkes Booth and 4 accomplices were then executed later. John Booth killed Lincoln, in hopes to revive the Confederates.

    World War 1 or "The Great War" started on July 28, 1914, and ended November 11, 1918. The War had over 70 million soilders and nearly 12 million died. By the end of World War 1, Europe's economy was destroyed and its government was overthrown and extremly disorganised

    The Stock Market Crash of 1929, or Black Tuesday, was one of the most devestating events in the U.S. history. Lthought the Stock Market is a risk, in the 1920's, it seemed like a valued investment for the future. Then, on Black Tuesday, it crashed, losing billions of dollars.
  • The First Appearance of Superman in Action Comics

    The First Appearance of Superman in Action Comics
    Superman appeared in the action comics, by Detective Comics Inc. (D.C.Comics). Origanly writen by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, who then sold it to D.C. Comics. The story of superman starts on Kyrpton. As an infant, his father sends him in a rocket into deep space, just as the planet explodes. The rocket then lands on a Kansas farm, where superman is raised as Clark Kent. As he grows older, he realizes his superhuman abilties, and uses them for good.

    World War II, was the second world war, spaning from 1939 to 1945. It was fougth by over 30 countries including: the United States, the Soviet Union, Japan, and many more. The war included the Holocaust, the dropping of the two neuclear bombs, and the estimated deaths from 50 to 85 million.

    Japan attacks on Pearl Harbor
    At 7:55, Japan surpise attacks Pearl Harbor. That day 2,403 American soilders died, and 1,178 were injured. This event brought America into World War 2. One day later Congress unanamously declared War on Japan, while the German, Italy, and Japan allies declared war on the United States.

    The Dropping of the Atomic Bomb in Hiroshima
    A little past 8 o' clock, a 5 ton Atomic Bomb was detonated at Japans eighth largest city, Hiroshima. The inicial blast killed 80,000 people, just as many later from radiation and wounds. The bomb detonated 2,000 feet above the city, sending anything a mile and a half to ground zero.

    The Korean War started June 25 1950 and was fought by South Korea, who fought with the United Nations, and by North Korea, who fought with the People's Rebulic of China and the Soviet Union. The war ended July 27, 1953.

    The Vietnam War, or called the Cold War, started November 1, 1955, and ended April 30, 1975. The war was fought between North Vietnam, who also were supported by China and other communist allies, and South Vietnam, who were supported by the United States, and other anti-communist countries.

    Spider man first appeared from Marvels and was created by their writer-editor, Stan Lee and writer-arstist Steve Diko, in the early 1960's. Spider man's real name is Peter Parker, who is an orphane who lives with his Uncle Ben and Aunt Mary. After his Uncle Ben gets murdered, Peter Parker uses his powers for good.

    73 seconds after the launch, the space shuttle, Challenger, exploded, 9 miles above Florida. All seven members of the crew died from the expolsion. Destuction of the rocket started after an O-ring on the right booster failed at liftoff,

  • 9/11

    On September 11, 2001, American Airlines flight 11, and United Airlines flight 175, both were heading for Los Angeles. Both went off course and at 8:45 A.M. flight 11 crashed into the North tower at the World Trade Center. 10 minutes later, the flight 175 hit the South tower. At the same time, American flight 77 veered off course and at 9:40, flight 77 hit the pentagon. United Airlines flight 93 was the fourth plane go off course. It landed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
