  • Ratification of the United States Constitution

    On September 17 the delegates of the constitutional convention finally finished the constition but before it could become the nation law. So on September 28th the congress directed the state legislatures to have ratification convention in each state. They had to have 9 out of the 12 states agree with the constitution.

    Lousiana purchase
    When Spain closed New Crealans to Americans they were outraged. Angry farmers and westerners were so upset they wanted a war for both Spain and France. However to aviod this president Thomas Jefferson decided to try and buy New Orleans from France. France offtered to sell the entire louisiana territory. However Thomas Jefferson was worried because it was unconstituional but it bettered the nation so he went ahead and bought it.(american history mcdougal littell)

    Lewis and Clark exploration

    Captin Meriwether Lewis and Lieutenant William Clark were hired by Thomas Jefferson to explore the Louisiana Territory. Out of the brave group of men only one perished during the journey. They faced alot of hardships. The exploration gave the United states the first accurated map of the Louisiana Territtory and found over 200 newly discovered specices of both plant and animals for english science.   • War with mexico

    Americans wanted more land however theses lands were popluated by mexicans and native americans. The United States worried this land would be claimed by someone else. So after alot of fighting with Mexico then on april 27th, 1846 war broke out with the U.S. and Mexico. Then in september 1847 the United states won Mexico. ( McDougal Littell American History)

    Peopl raced from all over the nation and all over the world flooding Californa. Just so they could better their lives and hopefully make alot of money. People would become violent all they wanted was the gold. At the end of the massive gold rush craze in 1851 many people had lost it all but some people had struck it rich. then californa had enought people to become a state.

    the fugitive slave act was a law that was put into place in the south in 1850 that allowed slave owners to take back ther run away slaves.This act allowed slave owners and slave capturers to go to the north and take free african americans.     uncle toms cabin was a story telling of the true horrors that slaves had to face. Such as being beaten or being sold. The author Harriet Beecher Stowe who was an active abolitionist wanted everyone to see how terriable slavery was. (American history-McDougal Littell)

    durning the time in 1855 when kansas was about to become a state it had populare soverntiy which let the people that lived in that state decied if they wanted to have a slave state or a free state. In kansas there were more people for slavery living there and people came from missiori that were for slavery and illigally voted thid started a war in kansas because of all the violent outbreaks from peolple.     The night of April 14 the Abraham Lincoln and his wife went to the Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C. The north has just won the civil war and many people are not happy with Lincoln. Then around 10 pm Lincoln was shot in the head by 26-year-old John Wilkes Booth four others were injured.

    The entire goal that the Japanizes had was to take out the U.S.As aircraft carriers capital ships and battleships. The attack lead to the Americas entry into world war 2. In the end nine ships sank 21 damaged and three unrepair\ over 2,350 people died and 1,177 more were injured. the Japanese thought they could take over the pacific islands but we however didn’t give up

    When president Harry S. Truman was in charge the U.S. dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki two large cities in Japan. This then made the Japanese surrender so they would not attack U.S. mainland during world war two. The bomb in total killed over 135,000 people. Many people question Truman’s decision to bomb the Japanese.

Some of the speakers that day was Martin Luther King Jr. 15 future senators and many other people. The march was the beginning of a brighter future for African Americans.

    The Explosion of the Challenger Space Shuttle
    When the space shuttle Challenger exploded after a failure of the O-rings that hold the ship together nine miles above Florida. 73 seconds after the challenger blasted of it exploded into a fire ball then plummeted back down to earth. This tragedy killed all seven crew members. After this terrible tragedy they stopped all space shuttle launches for 2 and a half years so this wouldn't repeat itself.

    The day i fell on a sewing needle and it went under my knee cap. Then went to get an ex-ray when they discorvered the needle. When i woke up from surgery i had an alergic reaction to the aneissesia so they gave me laughing gas. Then i ended up say any thing an every thing that came to mind and offened alot of people.
