    This was the day that the United States Constitution was adopted. It was ratified by conventions in eleven states. The Constitution was put into effect on March 4, 1789
  • Ratification of the Bill of RIghts

    This was the day that the Bill of Rights was ratified or approved. It is the first ten amendments to the constitution stating some of the citizens rights.

    It was the bombardment and surrender of Fort Sumter near Charleston, South Carolina. This is the battle that started the American Civil War.
