    This is the day our founding fathers signed the decloation of independance. (they did not sing it.)

  • The Adoption of the Articles of Confederation

    This was when the Articles were accepted to be a form of government for the states. This wasn't the ratification.

  • The British Surrender at Yorktown

    This was when General Chrles Cornwallis surrendered his troops in Yorktown, Virginia.

  • Shays Rebellion: Attack on the Springfield Armory

    This is when the farmers from Massachusetts attacked the new federal arsenal at Springfield.

    this was when people gathered to address problems in governing the United States of America.

  • Ratification of the constitution

    The ratification of the constitution is when the fonding fathers voted to accept the constitution officially.

    This was when the states agreed with the bill of rights and signed it.

  • Cotton Gin Patent Granted

    This was when the patent for the cotton gin was granted. This cleaned the cotton faster which made a higher demand for cotton and slaves.

    Tis was when two men named Lewis and Clark were sent to explore what was bought in the Lewesiana perchase.

  • First mill built in Lowell, Massachusetts

    This was when the the first run of cotton went through the new mill in the state of Massachusetts.

    This was when the Cherokee tribe was forced to move out West to Indian territorry.

  • Gold Discovered at Sutter's Mill

    This was when several flakes of gold was found in the mill.

  • Signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo

    This was when the Signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo took place. This added an aditional 525,000 square miles to the United States.

    This was the bonbardment and surrender of fort sumter. This started the American Cival War.

  • The battle of Gettysburg

    After winning over union forces the general decided to march hs troops ver to Northern Virginia.

  • The battle of little bighorn

    was an armed engagement between combined forces of the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes, against the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army.

  • The years of the great depression

    The great depression is when the US stock markets decreased rapidly. This left man families very poor.

  • Apollo 11 Moon Landing

    Apollo was a spacecraft that landed humans on the moon for the first time.

  • 9/11

    This is when the twin towers were attacked by two terrorist planes. The planes crashed into the two towers and they cam crashing to the graound. Also another plane crashed into the pentagon.

    This was the day the president officially started his first four year term.
