Fugitive Slave Act
The Fugitive Slave Act was a set of laws that allowed the capture of slaves and the return of slaves in the United States. Uncle Tom's Cabin was a book written by Harriet Beecher Stowe. The book is an anti slavery novel about the enforced fugitive slavery laws. The book had a huge part in how the American public veiwed the ways of slavery.
