    Articles of Confederation
    Strengths: 1. To declare war and make peace 2. To coin and borrow money 3. To detail with foreign countries and sign treaties 4. To operate post offices
    Weaknesses: 1. The national government could not force the states to obey laws 2. It did not have the power to tax 3. It did not have the power to enforce laws 4. Congress lacked strong and staedy leadership 5.There was no army or navy

    Constitutional Convention
    The constitutional convention was help in Philadelphia. Two very important people that attended the convention was James Madison and Alexander Hamilton. It was organized for the main purpose to revise the articles of confederation, and create a better one. At the convention they agreed to the Madison Virgina plan, and elections.

    In Philadelphia in the assembly room of the constitutional convention James Madison created the constitution. He took excerpts of different documents, and put it all together while making it. The constitution was made because the articles of confederation was to weak!

    The first article talked about the legislative branch. The second article described the executive branch, and the third article said information about the judicial branch. Lastly, the fourth article talked about the states and their laws they have to follow.

    The bill of rights are the forst 10 amendments, and they are the rights to the people.
    1.Freedom of speech, religion, press,and petition
    2.Right to bear arms
    3.No soldier should be quarted to any house
    4.Searched and seizers
    5.Must follow due process of laws. No double jeopardy
    6.the rights of the people accused
    7. trial by a jury
    8.No unusual or cruel punishments
    9.listing of individual and common people 's rights
    10. Anything that doesn't belong to the consitution belongs to the people
