On Jul 41776 which announced that the 13 American colonies at war with Great Britain.Regarded themselves as independent states, and no longer a part of the British. Instead they formed a union that would become a new nation the United States of America. -

The main writer was Thomas Jefferson.The Constitution of the United States of America is signed by 38 of 41 delegates present at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia.A hard won battle was to win ratification by the nine states out of 13 U.S. states. This was a sign that this is the beggining our our new nation. -

Lewis and Clark
Lewis and Clark expidition was very important to the U.S history. Thomas Jefferson sent them out to complete the tasks that was ordered. They were supposed to make a map along the trail. The were suppose to find different animals, and plants. One important part of the mission was to make friends with the Natives. This was important becuase people from the east wanted to head out west. The people spread around the west. Thomas Jefferson wanted this to happen. -

Indians were forced out of thier territory by gunpoint. Many indians died along the way. In fact evrey 1/10 of an indians died along the way. Thats on indian dead each mile. This changed the United Staes becuase if the indians didn't move west, Americans wouldn't expand across the nation. -

in May 1962 Nikita Khrushchev proposed the idea of placing Soviet nuclear missiles on Cuba to stop any future invasion attempt. The U.S was about to attack cuba on the air and on the sea but later decide to have a military blockade instead. -

Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first humans on the Moon.Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface. It was broadcast on live Tv. His famous saying was "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
