    The Declaration of Independence was written and sent to King George lll, It was asking for independence from him. It was wrote by Thomas Jefferson. On July 4, 1776 The Declaration of Independence was signed by Congress.

    Offical Signing of The Constitution
    The United States Constitution was signed September 17, 1787. It was ratified by eleven states on June 21, 1788. It originally had seven articles. The Constitution was signed by 39 of the 55 delegates.

    Cotton Gin
    Eli Whitney created the Cotton Gin. This helped the slaves with their cotton crops. They couldn't remove the seeds so this helped them significatly.

    Thomas Jefferson sent them on the Missisippi river to get them to the contenetial divide. It is importat because they studied plants, animals, and geography so we could expand out terrioty.

    On 9/11 in New York two planes crashed into the North and South Towers for suicide attacks. The two towers ended up collapsing within 2 hours. Close to 3,000 people died.
