    This proclamation made it so that the colonies couldn't expand past a line on the Appalachian mountains.

    This act meant that all of the paper products that were bought in the colonies had to be purchased with tax.

    In 1773 the British put a tax on all tea entering the colonies. The Tea Act made it so that the British Tea Company had a complete monopoly. They lowered the price of tea as well so that they could stop smuggling.

    The Boston Tea Party was when a group of colonists protested the Tea Act by dressing up as Indians and dumping 342 boxes of tea in to the Boston Harbor.

    Britain had had enough with all of the protesting and the Boston Tea Party put them over the edge and they put a stop to it and prevented them from importing basically anything.
