    First a project created by the French that failed because of the French's fund going bankrupt. Then the project went over to the Americans and John Frank Stevens became the manager of the project. It was finished on August 15, 1914. The Canal serves as a passageway from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

    Prohibition was a ban on the imports and sale of alcohol. The ban was written in the 18th Amendment. Then on April 7, 1933 they repealed the amendment. Ther Roaring 20's was an era that had a cultural edge such as having fashion, cinema, and dance.

    The Great Depression was a severe drop in the World's economy. It caused people losing jobs and crop prices fell tremendously. The New Deal was a program in response of the Great Depression. The program was passed by Franklin D. Roosevelt. The program relieved the poor, recovered the economy, and reformed the finacial issues.

    The Americans went into World War Two on December 8, 1941 due to the attacks on Pearl Harbor. The Americans went to war with Germany, Italy, and Japan. America's impact help to defeat Japan with a series of battles and two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. America also helped the allys by defeating the Germans. The war ended on September 2, 1945.

    A war between the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea). The North Koreans invaded South Korea due to tensions between each other. The U.S went to Korea to stop North Korea of invading the south to end the act of communism. Three years later, the war ended July 27, 1953

    The war was first fought between North Vietnam which was supported by communist countries and South Vietnam. The U.S helped fight with South Vietnam to defeat the Viet Cong army and the act of communism. The war ended April 30, 1975 at the Fall of Saigon.

    As depression swept the island because of the American Market. America made the decision to annex Hawaii in 1890. Then came the approval of the Admission of Hawaii Act causing Hawaii to become the fiftieth state.

    A terrorist attack planned by an Islamic terroist group named al-Qaeda. The suicide attacks were caused by hijacked airplanes. The first two hit the World Trade Center in New York. The third hit the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The fourth was targeted at D.C but crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylania.

    A war between America and Afghanistan on the Global War on Terror. The war was caused by the terrorist attacks on September 9, 2001. The operation had several smaller operations in Afghanistan, Philippines, Horn of Africa, Pankisi Gorge, Trans Sahara, and Caribbean/Centeral America.

    An invasion that lasted form March 19, 2003 to May 1, 2003 that started the Iraq war. The consisted troops from the U.S, United Kingdom, Poland, and Australia.

    The Operation started the Iraq war which was fought between the United States and Iraq. The war was caused by terrorism and Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction.
