the day america cried was on september 11, 2001. four plains were hijacked by a islamist group called al-Qaeda. there were a total of 19 hijackers on that dredful tusday. and 227 civilians total were on those plains. nearly 3,000 people died that day. the first tower was attacked at 8:46 A.M.

flight 77 hit the west side of the pentigon 20 min after the attack on the world traid center. the plain had 10,000 gallons of fuel when it crashed. it hit at 345 mph. 58 passengers, 4 flight attendendents and 2 pilots died that day. and 125 occupants of the pentigon died as well. it got hit at 9:39 A.M.

flight 175 crashed into the south tower at 9:03 A.M. it collapsed at 9:59 A.M. 630 people died in that tower. half less than the other. only because it was being evacuated after the north tower was hit.

the F.B.I. was quickly to identify the hijackers, including the leader, Mohamed Atta, when his luggage was discovered at bostons logan air port. the luggage did not make it on bord as pland. it contained the hijackers names, assighnments and al-queda conections.

All 19 hijackers were descovered by F.B.I. in 72 hours. 6 out of the 19 were belived to be traind in U.S. millitary bases. it was a devistating discovery for many people.
