Christmas Day
Colin recieves shoes for christmas while Luke gets a plane. He is unhappy about this. -
Luke Faints
Luke faints, and is rushed to hospital, Colin is concerned and tries to do his own tests on his brother Luke -
Luke gets sent to Sydeny
Luke is flown to Sydney on a plane and at first Colin is excited until he realises that he is not allowed to travel in the plane, Colin is mad that he wasn't allowed to travel in the plane with Luke and his father. -
Luke has cancer
Colin stays behind with mum and attempts to cook her dinner, dad calls and Luke has cancer. -
Colin is told he might be getting sent to England
Colins mother tells him that while Lukes cancer is being treated he might be sent to England to be with his aunt and uncle, Colin decides to go because he wants to visit the queen and ask her if he can borrow her worlds best doctor to treat Luke. Coling is excited. -
Colin arrives in England and meets his cousin, aunt, and uncle
Colin arrives in England and meets aunt Iris, uncle Bob, and his cousin Alistair, for the first time. He is very excited to be in England and see the queen. -
Colin breaks into Buckingham Palace
Colin convinces Alistair to help him break into Buckingham Palace to he can see the Queen about his sick brother, Luke, and ask to borrow one of the Queen's best doctors to cure Luke's cancer.
Alistair and Colin get caught by a policeman and are brought home, they are in trouble but Colin refuses to give up yet. -
Colin finds a hospital and meets Ted
Alistair helps Colin find a hospital where a doctor who isn't "slack" may work so he can fly to Australia to help Luke. Colin gets yelled at and the doctor who yelled at him refuses to help him.
Colin meets Ted, who is a regular visitor of the hospital and promises to try and find a doctor willing to help Colins cause.Colin is excited about finding a new firend and the possiblity of helping his sick brother. -
Colin discovers Luke cannot be cured.
Colin is introduced to a doctor about Luke and Ted and the doctor who was, to Colings surpirse, a woman, and they try to break it to Colin gently that Luke can't be cured and will inevitably die. Colin refuses to believe what the doctors are saying and calls them "slack". He is very destraught about the news. -
Colin visits Ted who has been beaten for being gay
Colin visits Ted before he leaves for the Amazon (to find a cure fcr Luke) and he sees that he has been beaten for being gay. Ted is barely able to move and can't make a single movement without pain, so he asks Colin to visit Griff, his partner, for him. -
Colin makes it possible for Ted and Griff to visit one another.
Ted is beaten and cannot visit his sick partner, so he sends Colin, while Colin is visiting and giving Ted tangerines he sees a wheelchair sitting unsupervised outside.
He takes the wheelchair to Ted so Ted can visit Griff, they are very happy about this and Colin is excited he could help. -
Griff passes away
Colin visits the hospital and sees Griff has died. As a symbol of respect, he places the bag of tangerines he has brought on his lap. Colin is sadenned by the death of his friend but he does not know how to comfort Ted, so he invites his over for dinner to meet Aunt Iris, Uncle Bob, and his cousin, Alistair.
ted starts cyring at the table.
Colin demands to go home so he can spend his Lukes remaining time with him. -
Colin is on the flight home
Colin is sadenned by Griffs passing so much that he decides to go home, so he can spend Lukes remaining time with him.
Colin isn't allowed so he asks Ted to sign the form allowing him to go, Aunt Iris and Uncle Bob and Alistair head him off at the airport, and demand he come home.
But then Alistair drops his shy side and reasons in an outburst why Colin should go home. Colin is allowed to go home, and is very ecstatic.
Colin leaves his friend, Ted, with a gift, a pink scarf. His favourite color -
Colin leaves England
Colin leaves England and reunites with his family to be with his brother, Luke, during his remaining time. Colin is excited about this and feels the inexplainabale need to be with his brother.
