    Maria, Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Feste devise a plan to embarrass Malvolio for being so rude and overpowering. Maria writes a love letter supposedly from Olivia; whom Malvolio has feelings for. When Malvolio reads this letter, he will think that his lover has fallen in love with him too, making a complete fool out of himself. This mischievous plan works and Malvolio attempts to show his love with Olivia, although she obviously isn’t interested in this servant.

    • Sir Andrew Aguecheek is upset that his love for Olivia is not mutual and decides to journey home, but Sir Toby and Fabian convince him to stay, and persuade him to challenge Cesario to a duel to prove his love for the countess Olivia.
