They raid the cyclones in attempt to get back home. -

They arrive at the Land of the Lotus Eaters where they eat Lotus flowers and begin to forget about returning home. They snap out of the trance they were in and leave. -

Arrive on a deserted island
Odysseus and his men feasted for several days. One the third day, they set out to the land of the cyclopes to learn if the cyclopes were friends or foes. -

Odysseus and his men enter the cave of a Cyclopes
They go into his cave and start a fire and eat some of his food. The cyclopes comes back, traps them in the cave and eats 2 of the men. -

Odysseus plans to outwit the Cyclopes
They could have killed him but if they did they would not be able to move the rock and they would be trapped down there forever. -

Odysseus blinds Polyphemus
They give him wine to make him sleepy, Stab him in the eye to blind him and they hide in a flock of sheep as the cyclopes is trying to find them and eat them. -

Odysseus and his men escape the cyclopes
The men hid in the flock of sheep and when Polyphemus opened the door to release his sheep they escaped. -

Odysseus and his men leave cyclopes island
The escape was successful but they still have a long journey home without their 2 friends who were eaten.
