    The Blue Jays originally renovated Exhibition Stadium for the SF Giants relocation, but did not need it when the supreme court struck down the idea of the Giants to move to Toronto. The MLB soon started expansion for more teams and chose Toronto as a location for a new team. The name Blue Jays name came from a name contest with the winner chosen by majority owner Labatt Breweries.

    The Blue Jays first game was played against the Chicago White Sox at home, or Exhibition Stadium, for a crowd of 44,469 people. A minor snowstorm started before the game, but didn't bother the teams. The Blue Jays won 9-5 from Doug Ault's two home runs.

    The Blue Jays hit their first ALCS with a league-leading record of 99w-62l. They went to the ALCS with a good record and were doing well. They soon lost the last 3 games of the ALCS to the Kansas City Royals, who went on to win their first and only World Series.

    The Blue Jays were back on track by winning the ALCS against the Oakland A's 4-2. They went on to face the Atlanta Braves in the World Series. They won the series 4-2 with Pat Borders being named MVP.

    The Blue Jays struck again with another 4-2 win against the Philledelhia Phillies to win the World Series again. They won with the only walk-off home run in MLB history for a team that's trailing. The MVP was Paul Molitor.
