    Tom Osbourne was very athletic and played football and basketball in his youth and was a wide reciever on the Washington Redskins. This lead to him becoming a legendary head football coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football.

But they both agreed that they should stop the growth of gambling in Nebraska. Tom Osborne showed good human relations by working with Ernie who was once his enemy, put aside their differences, and stop gambling.

Because of this, Steve Pederson was fired and Tomf Osborne became the athletic director. Even though many people wanted him fired, Osborne, being kind and negotiable, gave him a second chance and said that if the team had a losing record, he would be fired. Osborne ended up firing him, but negotiated with him

    Many people hated Tom Osborne because he was such a good coach and dominating over other teams. He recieved some death threats which were disturbances. So when he was athletic director, people made death threats out to him.Instead of panicing and leaving his team he toook extra precautions and was careful and ended up being fine. This happens alot he said, its best not to make a big deal unless the threats are specific and serious. He handled this disturbing instance well.
