But they both agreed that they should stop the growth of gambling in Nebraska. Tom Osborne showed good human relations by working with Ernie who was once his enemy, put aside their differences, and stop gambling. -

The former Nebraska coach Bill Callahan did a terrible job and had a losing streak. Many people wanted him fired, but the athletic director Steve Pederson, did not fire him for some reason. Because of this, Steve Pederson was fired and Tomf Osborne became the athletic director. Even though many people wanted him fired, Osborne, being kind and negotiable, gave him a second chance and said that if the team had a losing record, he would be fired. Disturbance Handler
Many people hated Tom Osborne because he was such a good coach and dominating over other teams. He recieved some death threats which were disturbances. So when he was athletic director, people made death threats out to him.Instead of panicing and leaving his team he toook extra precautions and was careful and ended up being fine. This happens alot he said, its best not to make a big deal unless the threats are specific and serious. He handled this disturbing instance well. -

Tom Osborne was elected to congress and became a spokesperson for the people of the 3rd district Nebraska. He represented the people and voted on laws for them as their spokesperson. -

Tom Osborne is old but he still has much life to live. Tom Osborne is still alive as of today. He plans to retire as athletic director of Nebraska.
