  • Dr. Seuss

    When I was younger my parents read a lot of Dr. Seuss books to me.
  • Favorite Books as a Child

    When I was in pre-school and kindergarten my favorite book to read was "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr.
  • A.R. Readings Goals

    All through elementary school we had A.R. reading goals which pretty much was every book was worth a certain amount of points. Which we had a goal to reach a certain amount of points. We would be tested on the books we read and based on well we did on the test we'd be given points. Then we'd have a party if we met all of our A.R. goals for the year.
  • First Chapter Book

    The first chapters that I read were the Magic Tree House books and the Nancy Drew series.
  • Read my First Historical Book that Wasn't a Textbook

    When I was in 6th grade I read Anne Frank's Diary. Which was pretty much the first historical book that I had read at the time that wasn't a textbook and that came from more than a non-fictional character.
  • Read "To Kill a Mocking Bird"

    We read "To Kill a Mocking Bird" in my 8th-grade year.
  • Romance Novels

    I got really into romance novels when I was in high school probably around the time that I was a sophomore. That was all that I would read for entertainment.
  • Interest in Holocaust Books

    I had really gotten into reading real-life accounts of the survivors of the Holocaust. So, I began to read a lot of Holocaust books and books surrounding the Holocaust.
  • Senior Exit Project Books

    I observed a teacher for a week while she taught her students. The book "How Full is Your Bucket?" was read to the students on their first day at school.
  • College Readings

    I read a whole bunch of books and articles for college.
