In 1898 Morgan Robertson wrote a book called The Wreck of the Titan which was about an unsinkable boat that ended up sinking. I find this almost scary because the titanic soon sank after that book was written and the boat was designed like the titanic.
-
Men started planning/designing the titanic (Lord Pirre and J Bruce Ismay)
-
Everyone is eager to come and see the great ship be released into the sea
-
The titanic swiftly moves through the water as it sets sail.
-
The Titanic almost collided with a tug boat called the New York because the Titanic cause the ropes holding down the New York to break lose and come drifting towards it
-
New technology warns the captain that there is an iceberg ahead but the crew just ignore it.
-
The technology signals the crew again yet they still ignore it.
-
The captain doesnt think much of the warnings either since it is new technology and doesnt trust it and sink he believes that the ship is truely unsinkable but he strictly orders crew members to watch out for icebergs.Though, I don't think the captain could have been worrying too much about the icebergs because he then took a nap.
-
The crew members begin to worry as the see that they are heading right towards an iceberg,
-
Suddenly people are disrupted by the titanic hitting an iceberg but most people dont think much of it. Afterall, the ship is unsinkable, or so they think.
-
Even though the titanic just hit an iceberg most people act as if nothing even happened. Little do they know they have less than an hour to get out of the ship. Rooms start filling with water,
-
Around 10:00 Captain Smith calls The White Star Line for help.
-
People start jumping of the deck of the titanic, terrified of what might lie ahead if they stay on the tipping boat.
-
The boats start filling half full with first class people mostly women and children. The reason why the only filled the boats half full is because they thought that first class people shouldnt have to sit with secong and third class people which killed hundreds of people.
-
All the people in the boats could do was sit and listen to the horrifying shrieks of people in the nearly frozen water.
