    In this book The fourth stall by Chris Rylander you meet Mac who is the go to man in his school. You need something done, he is the man but for a fee. Mac and his freind Vincent have set up a business in the fourth stall in the boys bathroom. Vincent and Mac made this busness for one reson. They are both obsessed with baseball and are saving funds for a Cubs champoinship game.

    Mac and Vincent have helped many kids with many hard situations but this will be their hardest. A little kid known as Fred was working for a legendary bully known as Staples. When Fred decided to quit Staples became enraged and was going to kill Fred because he knew too much. Fred had come to Mac and Vincent for help. They take on the task and gather almost every bully in the school to go up against Staples.

    Staples finds out that Fred is being protected by Mac and Vincent and decides that they too are targets. Staples sends out a spy to investigate on Mac and Vincent. Later Vincent is presumed the spy and has been stealing money from the baseball funds. This ruins their relationship and causes them to split up forcing Mac to fight Staples on his own.

    Mac and the bullies fail to stop Staples and the bullies back out. Mac is up against Staples all by himself. Later he finds out that Vincent was not the spy and Fred had been working with Staples all along to destroy his busness and his profits. This leaves Mac devestated that he betrayed his best freind and acused him of being a spy. Mac goes to Vincent's home and tries to mend their freindship. Vincent accepts the apology and agrees to help.

    Mac and Vincent set up a plan to break into Staples's home wile Mac meets Staples and Fred at the school. When Staples, Mac, and Fred meet at the school. Vincent and the crew are meanwhile running through Staple's home finding tons of criminal records and his name. This is the climax because not only is it the most exciting part in the story but it also is the begining to ending the battle between Staples and Mac.

    Mac tells Staples that if he doesn't stop and call off the battle that he would turn Staples in. Staples grabs Mac and drags him outside to his car. Mac was trown inside and then they drove out to an abandoned lot. Staples threw Mac out of the car. They sat there till Staples' crew arrived. Staples picked up Mac ready to beat him up but then Vincent and the crew showed up with "weapons" such as snow shovels, pool toys, and a rake. Then Staples' crew take off running.

    Staples tries one last move and pulls out his phone and calls the principal of Mac's school to tell him about their business when a member of the crew shot his phone with a water gun and destroyed his phone. They knock him down and save Mac. They are going to beat him up when Mac tells them to leave him alone and feels bad for him and offers to let him into his busness and earn money.

    Mac and Vincent watch the Cubs game before the play offs and sadly the Cubs lost and Mac and Vincent were of corse disappointed but everything went back to normal and the business was back up and running. Everything was fine now until a girl showed up needing help, but that is another story-Fourth Stall 2

    1. "The cubs missed the world series again' said Mac." This shows that he is dissapointed/indirect. Rylander pg 312. 2. "That made it especially creepy being next to the creek' said Mac." This shows he is creeped out/direct. Rylander pg 152. 3. "He did't look mean or scarry' said Mac." This shows he isnt scared/direct. Rylander pg 65. 4. "I need some time to think' said Mac." This shows he is confused/indirect. Rylander pg 208
