    Australopithecines

    The first human-like beings that walk the earth and also upright. They lived from about four-million years to one-million years. Archaeologists and other scientist found these creatures in parts of Southern and Eastern Africa. They have the brain size of approximately fiv-hundred cm^3.

    Homo habilis

    As the Australopithecines population began to decrease in population, a new species of hominids appear: Homo habilis. this species were more capable of making and using tools. They appear in East Africa around 2.5 million B.C.E to 1.5 million B.C.E

    Old Stone Age

    Men and women were Nomads at this time. They made necklaces out of seashells, lion teeth, bearclaws. They also made weapons out of stones and animal bones. Some drew paintingson caves. they used tool to catch and cut food

    Homo erectus

    The Homo erectus appeared before the Homo habilis. Some were found in Africa ,Asia, and Europe. There brain size was about 1000 cm^3. These species were able to develop technology and be more adaptable to their environment. Scientists believed that Homo erectus was the first to use and discover fire. From this discovery it provided help to these beings such as,warmth, cook their food fright animals that may attack. They also develop a language which help them in survival.

    Neanderthal

    They appeared 200,000 to 30,000 B.C. Neanderthal had more well-developed muscle and thick bones. These beings develop belief in religion and ritual preformance. They survive the Ice Age winter and were also resourceful with their supplies of food like animal skin for tent sheets and clothes. They 've mysteriously disapper with no explanition on how.

    Humans began to do agriculture on their land.The climate began to change tempurature which help the being to produce more and population grow faster. A method of framing was slash-and -burn which means to cut all the trees, and grass and burn the rest of the field. Hunters domesticated animals as a food source

    Cro-Magnon

    When the Neanderthal began tofade away, the Cro-Magnon began to appear.They were found in Europe with the brain size of 1400 cm^3. They have the ability to migrate all over the world. These beings made new type of tools with special use and also planned their hunts. Unlike the Neanderthals, Cro-Magnons study their prey habits and characterists.

    Bronze Age

    Sumerians began to make weapons out of bronze. they also the first to make potter wheel so the shape of jugs, plates ,and bowls were made. This age started at Sumer 3000 B.C but for other countries it started at a very different time. In Sumer, there was civilization.The people had specialization or were artisan,people who made goods by hand. They made records called scribes in a writing called cuneiform.
  • The city of Ur

    The English archaeologist Leonardo Woolley discovery the city of Ur. He predicted that it flourish in 3,000 B.C. It was very agricultural city, In the walls of Ur people lived in 1-story buildings, some wealthy people lived in 2-story.The temple was named Zuggurat, which means "mountain of god". In the temple, priest sarcfice a sheep or a goat to the gods. It was also a storage area for grains, woven fabrics, and gems.
    The city's way of trade is called Barter, the way of trading good .
  • Jarmo

    Archaeologist Robert Braidwood discovery a site and called it Jarmo. He believed that there was an agricultural settlement made in 9000 years ago.Discovery was found in 1950's
  • Discovery of Catal Huyuk

    In 1958, a group of archaeologists discovery this city: Catal Huyuk. They belived that 5,000 to 6,000 people lived in these in the city.The people lived in dwellings that were made by brick and put side-by-side like a honeycomb.The city was placed on very rich soil and was excellent for agricuture.They used volcanic rock to made jewelry,mirrors, and knives .
  • The discovery of Lucy

    Donald Johanson discovered a unusual complete set of skeleton in East Africa, an adult hominid female. Scientist nicknamed her "lucy" after the song "lucy in the sky with diamonds". they predicted that she lived around the 3.5 million years ago
