    Christopher Columbus

    Columbus sailed the ocean and found the "New World". He was also credited with calling the natives indians because he thought he had found the West Indies. His accomplishment was significant because his discovery eventually convulsed four continents, Europe, Aisa, and the Americas. His voyage also set an interdependent global economic system.

    The Colombian Exchange

    The Colombian Exchange, exchanged new farming techniqus for firearms and weapons. It was significant because it brought new animals, new crops, and even a written alaphabet to the new world, which they really needed. It also brought over dieases which was bad at fisrt killing alot of people, but the future generations grew a immunite to some of the dieases.
  • The Virgina Company

    The Virgina Company guarented the overseas settlers the same rights as englishmen. This gradually extended to the English colonies reinforcing the colonist that they still will be in English instutions even on far shores of the Alantic. The importance of this is it treated people equally so no conflict or problems would occur..
  • The House of Burgesses

    The House of Burgesses was the first assembley of the new world, it was a committee to work out local issues. The importance of the House of Burgesses is it worked out issuse to prevent conflict and wars from breaking out. It lead to the comittees that we now have that work out our problems like lawyers.
  • The Mayflower Compact

    The Mayflower compact was signed by the pilgrims in 1620, for the first plans of self government. It was based on a majority rule, they knew they needed a set of rules to survive in the colony. The Mayflower Compact was significant because it was the first set of "rules" for the new world, so no conflict would occur. Also to prevent major problems.
  • The Half-Way Covenant

    The Half-Way Covenant stated the people could be baptized, but not allowed communion. This was used to increase the churches attendance. The Significance was people were satisfied with being baptized with out being in communion. Which increased church numbers and more people started going to churches and learning religion. Now we go to church and being baptized is a way of joining communion and being saved.
  • The Navigation Act

    The Nagigation Acts were created to bolaster the colonial defense aganist Indians. It forbade American trade with any other countrie except Britian. Which eventually lead to smuggling. It is importance because it prevent any bad forgien items from being brought over.
  • The French and Indian war

    The French and Indian war was lead by William Pitt , his main goal was to capture French Canada. The result of the seven years war was Britian became the dominat power over North America.
  • The Proclamation of 1763

    This prohibited the settlement of the colonist west of the Appalachions, this was meant to work out the Indiand problem and prevent other future problems. The importance was it made sure no problems would occur with the Indians like fighting over land. It also prevented wars between the Indians from breaking loose.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act requried all american colonist to pay tax on every paper they sent out, like documents, newspapers, and letters. The importance was it raised money for the protection of colonist. They figured since we protect the colonies and colonist we should get money to help better protect. This eventually lead to us paying taxes for the government like we do now.
