Archduke Francis Ferdinand was assassinated. Austria-Hungary wanted to use the assassination to crush Serbia. When Serbia did not agree to Austria-Hungarys's demands, Austria-Hungary began to start up their army.

Treaty of Versailles. This treaty made to put all the cost and blame of World War 1 on Germany. It made Germany pay for all the damage. Making Germany pay for the whole war put them in a rough economic state and also upset Germany.

Alot of European countrys relied on the U.S econmy. The U.S started making more than what we were selling. The U.S also borrowed to much money.

The great depression was a time where the U.S stock market collasped.16 million stocks were sold. Then the stock market fell.

Credit: People started to buy things they could not afford.

Farmers and overproduction: Farmers started to invest in themselves causing them to over produce and for their own prices to go down.

Many people began to lose thier jobs. Not having a job,they would have no money to buy things that caused the businesses not to have coustmers and shut down.

World trade dropped 65%. The U.S depended on Latin America for sugar,beef and copper and becuase of the Depression the prices collapsed, hurting the world trade.

The Great Depression hurt alot of famlies and caused alot of people to go hungrey.

The Social Security Act: This act started giving people certain rights. Helps the citizens that could have been blind,older age etc.

The New Deal: prgrams started off by President Frankilin D.Roosevelt. Helps the U.S get out of the Great Depression.

Public Building Projects: These projects would start to provide peole with jobs.

The Nonagression pact: This was a pact between Soviet dictator Joseph and Hitler. The pact was to agree that Hitler would not attack poland. Hitler agreed but then attacked them.

The holocaust: The jews had to war a yellow star of David patch.

The bombing of Pearl Harbor.The Japanese did a suprize attack on Pear Harbor which killed a lot of people. It also made the United States really upset.

The final solution: Hitler made extermination camps that had gas chambers. These gas chambers killed over 6 million Jews.

The D-Day invasion: British, American, French and Candaian troops fought their way on to a beach in Normady.

Marshall Plan: The U.S gave money to western europe to help rebuild their econmy and maintain the iron curtain. The U.S also helped rebuild their econmy.
