    Its the relationship that developed primarily between the USA and the USSR after World War 2. The Cold War was to dominate international affairs for decades.   • Korean War

    Korean War
    Korean War began when 75,000 soldiers fro north Korea crossed the 38th parallel. The invasion was one of the first military actions of the cold war. In July the United States entered to support south Korea and american citizens felt america should enter against the forces of international communism. 5 million soldiers and citizens died during the war and the war ended in July of 1953.
  • Vietnam War

    Also known as the second Indochina war and the longest war in U.S. history. The war started in an effort to reunify Vietnam. The united states entered for the main fact that they feared a domino effect would happen around the world as a result of the spread of communism. Richard Nixon ended the war but only after invading Cambodia first.
  • Brown Vs. Board of Education

    Brown Vs. Board of Education
    Although it was known as "Brown Vs. Board of Education," it was actually five separate cases. Each case had its own unique facts but it eventually all led to if segregated schools were considered constitutional or not. On May 14, 1954 the supreme court decided that " separate but equal" schools were unconstitutional and schools became desegregated.

The purpose of the wall was to keep western "fascists" from entering East Germany. Its known today as on of the most powerful symbols of the cold war.

    It was a thirteen day confrontation between the united states and the soviet union of nuclear armed soviet missiles on Cuba.     On this day Governor George Wallace stopped the blockade in to the university and allowed two African American students to enroll in the university of Alabama. On June 10 President Kennedy federalized national troops to force desegregation; and the next day the governor gave in and allowed the two students to enroll.

    JFK was fatally shot while riding through a motorcade in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. His assassin was Lee Harvey Oswald. After the Assassination vice president Lyndon Johnson took office and he kept allot of the same values that Kennedy had strives for as far as equal rights for all.
