    US EMBASSY BOMBING, BEIRUT
    Suicide bomber exploded with 2000 lbs of explosives. A pro-Iranian group calling itself the Islamic Jihad Organization took responsibility for the bombing. This is terrorism because it was an attempt to undermine the us government.
  • Tokyo Subway Sarin Attacks

    Tokyo Subway Sarin Attacks
    Aum launched 5 attacks at subway trains in tokyo. Aum is a religious organization that still continues today. 12 people were seriously injured, 12 died, and thousands had temporary or permanent vision loss. This was intended to kill people, so this is terrorism.

    The Oklahoma City Bombing was perpetrated by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. The bombing destroyed over ⅓ of the building, killing 168 people and injuring at least 680 more. At least 324 buildings and 86 cars had some amount of damage done to them within a 16 block radius causing upwards of $652 million in damage.

    Al Qaeda organized a suicide mission to attack the united states. The targets were: the pentagon, both twin towers, and, we believe, the white house. This is terrorism because the FBI, a united states organization calls it terrorism.

    Group of islamic state terrorists took a school and held hostages for 3 days, russian military stormed it with tanks, incendiary missiles, and other heavy weapons. The Militants wanted independence for chechnya from russia. Of the 1200 hostages, 777 were children.

    Bombs went off 190 meters from the finish line of the boston marathon. 3 civilians were killed and 264 were estimated to be injured. The perpetrators escaped, 1 was shot, and the other was taken into custody. This was terrorism because it was intended to kill noncombatants.

    Man walked into nightclub, and opened fire. Held hostages, police broke through stalemate with armored truck, and stun grenades. Perpetrator was killed. This is terrorism because it was an attempt to kill a certain group of people.

    A 19 ton cargo truck was deliberately driven into a crowd celebrating bastille day on the Promenade des Anglais, July 14th 2016. The attack was carried out by a member of the islamic state and killed 86 people as well as injured another 434.

    On the night of December 10th 2016 the Kurdistan Freedom Falcons set of two bombs in the city of istanbul turkey, killing 46 and injuring another 150 or more people.

    On the 17th of February 2017, DPRK Defector Kim Jong Nam was assassinated by two women when they attacked him with a nerve agent in the Kuala Lumpur international airport. The attack is believed to have been a hired assassination by the government in the DPRK. This was terrorism due to the nature of the attack with it using chemical weapons.

    22 year old Salman Ramadan Abedi detonated a bomb at the end of an Ariana Grande concert. 22 people were killed, 119 were injured, 23 of them were critically injured. This is terrorism because it was intended to kill civilians.

    Mortar shells and rockets were fired from the gaza strip at Israel. The terrorist group Hamas claimed responsibility the attacks. 1 Man killed, and dozens injured. This is terrorism to Israel because it was perpetrated against Israel and civilians were killed.

    On Jan 26, 2019, a group of Kurdish militants attacked a Turkish stronghold, their goal, set fire to Turkish military equipment as a protest to the bombardment the Turkish had been doing in the area, 2 Kurdish men were killed in the attack.
  • Christchurch Mosque Shootings

    At 1:40 P.M. on the 15th of March 2019, a far-right extremist opened fire inside a Mosque. Inside Al Noor Mosque were many Muslim worshippers, 51 of which were killed. The attack was thought to have been an anti-islamic statement. The shooter spread his manifesto on facebook and twitter, the attack was also livestreamed on facebook. After the attacks the police uncovered multiple I.E.D.’s which were later disarmed.
