  • Australopithecus

    Australopithecus
    The first hominid people were called the Australopithecus. They lived 3-4 million years ago and lived in Africa near the FR Triangle. They stood 3 feet tall and walked on two feet. But no tools have been found. They used hands to defend themselves and carried food in their hands. That is what we know about these marvelous creatures.
  • Homo habilis

    Homo habilis
    The second hominid people were called the Homo habilis. They lived 1.5-2 million years ago in Africa. They were a mix of ape and human. They walked 4 feet tall and used rocks to chop and used stones for cutting. They were good at making tools and lived in groups. They were also known as up right men. That is all we know today about these types of hominid people.

    Homo erectus
    The third hominid people were called Homo erectus. Also known as the upright man. They lived 1.8 million years ago to 220,000 BC. They first started in Java Island in Asia and Europe. They stood 5 feet tall and their jaw and head stuck out. They were the first to use fire and to make houses. These creatures are not the smartest or the strongest but they made it through.
  • Homo sapiens Neandertaliens

    Homo sapiens Neandertaliens
    The fourth hominid people are called Homo sapiens Neandertaliens. They are also known as wise men. They lived 230,000 to 300,000 years ago in Neander Valley in Germany. They had thick bones and smaller brain than modern human. They also had 60 types of weapons including knives, scrapers, and spear points. That is what I know about Homo sapiens Neandertaliens.

    Homo sapiens sapiens
    The fifth hominid people were called Homo sapiens sapiens also known as handy man. They lived about 200,000 years ago and originated in Africa. They had highly delevoped brains and were good with their hands. The two combined has made them really good at using tools. They used tools such as spears and made them out of wood and rocks. They were also good cave painters. They hunted most of their food. That is what we know about Homo sapiens sapiens today.
