Internet Explorer 5.5 was released in July 2000. This invention enables the internet users across the globe to search for and access abundant information more easily.

Microsoft Windows XP home and professional editions were released on October 25, 2001. This invention enables users to improve their using experience and enables corporations to better integrate computer technology and system into the workplace.

Openbox was released for the X Window System in 2002. This invention is a lightweight Window manager. It can be used with Linux, FreeBSD, and other Unix-like operating systems to create a clean, functional desktop environment. It improved users' experience and convenience in using computers.

Android was founded by Andy Rubin in October 2003. This invention was later acquired by Google on August 17, 2005. It is a free Linux based platform and is an open software stack with an operating system, middleware, and applications. It provides users with more options regarding phone and computer systems.

MySpace official site was launched in January 2004. It was first created Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe as an online community for anyone to connect and share their journals, pictures, music, and interests with friends. This invention stimulated Internet users to socialize with others through the Internet.

YouTube was founded and came online on February 15, 2005. This invention is very significant. It enables the users across the globe to access much more knowledge and information in the format of online videos, and use this platform to share their experiences and knowledge about the global populations.

Twttr, now known as Twitter was officially launched on July 15, 2006. It was founded as Twttr by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams, as a social networking company. It increased the social media options available for people and encouraged them to socialize with others through social media.

Apple announced the iPhone with iOS on January 9, 2007. iOS is the operating system that runs on the Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, and Apple iPad Touch devices. This invention enabled people to access more advanced phone and computer systems and expanded this company's international influence.

On September 23, 2008, T-Mobile launched the G1 (HTC Dream), the first smartphone to use Google's new operating system for mobile devices, Android version 1.0. This invention increased the popularity of Google's new operating system and stimulated more people to use it.

A person under the fake name of Satoshi Nakamoto introduced the Internet currency Bitcoin on January 3, 2009.This currency is transacted on the Internet using an open-source, peer-to-peer protocol, referred to as the Bitcoin network.Smartphones, websites, and applications can send and receive Bitcoins through the use of digital wallets. This invention stimulated people to make commercial and financial transactions using digital and internet devices.

Apple introduced the iPad on January 27, 2010. It is a tablet-style computing device, as shown in the picture. This invention greatly increased people's convenience in accessing information and resources online and brought them better user experience due to the larger screen compared with phones.
