  • The Computer

    Invented by Charles Babbage. It has come such a long way from the past, especially how advanced the computer look. WIth the help of Charles son Henry they were able to fully complete th epotion of part of the machine.
  • The Telephone

    Alexander Graham Bell had made a drawing of a telephone just to mess around. They made the invention come to life. Then Alexander and Watson talked on their new phone that they had just made.
  • The Car

    No one was really sure who created the first car. Some people said it was Karl Benz from Germany. They also said that it was made between the years of 1885-1886.
  • The Radio

    A German scientist Heinrich Hertz had proved the existance of radio waves. From there it went on to creating the radio in general. In 1895 an Italian guy named Gugliemo Marconi was also called a wireless telegraph. The was the first sign and the begininng to a long process of creating radios.
  • The Great Migration

    African Americans moved to the North and the West from the South. Mostly because of slavery and it was also very racist time. They ended up becoming very successful and people were scared of their powers.
  • 18th Ammendment

    This event was in order to prohibit alcoholic beverages out of the United States. They ordered that there wasnt allowed to be no production, use, or even transport. The courts ended up being so overwhelmed with new cases because people wouldn't stop drinking.
  • Frisbee

    First it was called pluto platters. Soon then they were invented into the frisbee. A lot of people had a lot interest in trying to make their own creations so they ended up coming up with this. A lot of people's inventions werent as popular but the frisbee was one that was definitely popular.
  • 19th Ammendment

    This ammendment gave women a chance to vote. This ammendment took a very long time and the women who were going through with it had a very long and hard struggle. A few years before people had to march, fight, protest, and even argue their way through the things that were going on in order to win their rights over.
  • Emergency Quota Act

    This act restricted immigration in the U.S. It was known as the one act that was a huge turning point in America as well. It had added many rules a regulations so that it would get better and not be so hard to control.
  • Immigration Act

    This act limited the number ammount of immigrants that were allowed to enter. In order for them to get this act passed they had to do many different correctons in order to get through it. This act was also made in order to calm down the number of immigrants.
  • The Television

    It was made in 1925 by Filo Fansworth and Charles Francis Jenkins. The television was made to entertain people and also warn and give people alerts about whats going on in the world. it was based off of an ionscope that had been made before it and they ended up with a television.
  • Black Thursday

    On this day it had a ton of horrble bushfires.It probably had something to do with black Tuesday. Black Tuesday happened around that time. It could of also happened because of everything with the stock market crashing and the problems people were having.
  • Black Tuesday

    Black Tuesday was also known as The Wall Street Crash of 1929.
    The most devastating stock market crash in history. The fallout and time period was horrible and it was very long.
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt Elected President

    He was elected and became the 32nd president of the United States. People say that he helped American people regain faith in themselves. In my opinion it ws the opposite because he started taking the veterans benefits away and thats not very empowering.
  • 1933 (State of Economy)

    They cut the salaries of Federal workers and reduced the veterans benefits that they earned. Roosevelt was still The President and was the one to sign off on it. He had upset lots of people and ruined many people's lives.
  • 21st Ammendment

    This repealed from the 18th ammendment. It was banning alcohol in the United States. People argued and said they didn't want that law in place in the first place. They didin't make it last long at all.
  • Hoover Dam Constructed

    It was a dam that was built in the Black Canyon. It was built in 1935 and has been there ever since. During the Great Depression the dam was dedicated by the president.
  • GI Bill of Rights

    This was one of the best things that happened to the federal governement. It was close to not passing at the time it was made. Some people were mad about paying any money too.
  • The Internet

    Robert E. Kahn and Vint Curf invented it. Also known as the fathers of the internet.
    Researchers began making the "Network of Networks".
