First steam powered vehicle

1769

In 1769 the first steam powered vehicle was created by Nicholas Joseph Cugnot 9. It was a true tricycle with wooden wheels, iron wheels and weighed 4.5 tons.

First steam car with capacity for 18 passengers

1840

Then in 1840 the first steam car with a capacity for 18 passengers was presented

Belgian Etienne Lenoir

1860

In 1860 with the Belgian Etienne Lenoir who patented the first explosion engine.

Internal combustion engine.

1876

In 1876 the internal combustion engine was presented.

Electric vehicle.

1881

In 1881 Jeantaud introduced the electric vehicle. The current necessary for its operation is provided by 21 batteries.

First gasoline engine

In 1883 Maybach introduced the first high-speed gasoline engine.

Quadricycle.

1896

In 1896 Henry Ford with the invention of his own self-propelled vehicle called a quadricycle.

In 1903 Spyker builds the first 6-cylinder engine.

Brakes for all four wheels.

In 1910 Argyll, Crossley, Arrol-Johnson and Isotta-Fraschini used four-wheel brakes for the first time.

In 1924 Walter P. Chrysler launches a car with his name that includes hydraulic brakes and a high-compression engine.
