Mark has always liked to dance, and after all his hard work, he won 3rd place. It gave him the confidence to try and audition for a kpop entertainment company. Erikson's fourth stage, Industry vs. Inferiority, is about the need to show that one is competent in a task to gain the encouragement and approval of others. If encouragement is given then one develops confidence. If it is not encouraged this could lead to a feeling of inferiority. -

During a fan meet and greet, he realizes that he misses his normal life with his friends but does not want to give up his idol life. He plans to make time for both. Erikson's fifth stage is about finding one's identity through exploring their values and desires. Success at finding one's identity gives a strong sense of self but failure can make one unsure about their role -
Mark decides to take time off during his group's hiatus to start his first serious relationship with his long time friend. After a busy schedule and no time to date, he is looking forward to spending time together. Erikson's sixth stage is a conflict with forming intimate relationships which can make someone feel secure. Avoiding intimate relationships can lead to loneliness and depression.
