The Athenian Democracy was a direct democracy and any male over 20 years old was supposed to be apart of the democracy. The Athenian Democracy has impacted the Canadian government because they also used juries to decided what happened in trials.

    The Roman Empire was founded in the year 31 BC and it lasted until 476 AD. During the Roman Empire the Emperor was the most powerful person and they could make new laws. They used a senate in ancient Rome.

    The Magna Carta was signed in 1215. The Magna Carta was the first document that stated the monarch was not above the law and it was also the first document that established civil rights. The Magna carta has influenced Canadian law because it is a symbol of freedom and human rights.

    The Iroquois confederacy was founded in 1350 and in ended in 1600. The Iroquois confederacy was driven by their need work together to prevent invasion. It has impacted the Canadian government because each village had a chief and everyone had to agree with something or they couldn't do it.

The French revolutions goal was to change the relationship between the rulers and the citizens. The French revolution effected Canada because it solidified the British rule over Canada.
