The English language came to india thru trading between Britain and India. English was the language used for trading so India had to learn it. Many of the indian people thought that when they learned the language a new world would open up. They could read english books and travel to english speaking countries.

English came to the caribbean when the brittish ships sailed to african, where they trade their goods for slaves. Then they sailed on to caribbean and there the brittish sold the slaves on auctions. When the slaves sailed to caribbean they learned to speak english.

In 1788 the first fleet arrived in port jackson. There where 11 ships in the fleet and it held about 780 people. The people on the ships where criminals. They pransported to australia as a punishment and they had to live there.
