  • Battle of Lexington & Concord

    Tensions were building up during the years between the 13 American colonies and British. The British marched from Boston to nearby concord with armed weapons and they sounded an alarm and it started a battle.
  • Declaration of independence

    Declares independence from Great Britain. Gives us our rights and Thomas Jefferson wrote it and he used our natural rights by John Locke, and our natural rights our life liberty property.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    48 days apart from the battle before in Lexington and Concord, this battle was the Turing point in the american revolution and general John Burgoyne had a small costly victory.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    General George Washington commanded a group of 17,000 French and Continental troops to Yorktown for a battle against British and General Lord Charles Cornwallis.
  • Northwest Ordinance

    A method for new states coming into the union and if they would would be free or slave states.
  • Alien and Sedition Act

    the laws were made by John Adams and they say that to move immigrates and make it harder for them to vote.
  • Virginia & Kentucky resolutions

    Thomas Jefferson and James Madison made the resolutions for the two states because the federal government was having to much power that was not in the constitution
  • Marybury V. Madison

    John Adams established the judicial review to check over the legislative and executive branch to make sure laws and rights that are passed are constitutional

    The border war was very violent and all of this happened because of slavery in Kansas

    It was passed by congress, It allowed people in Nebraska and Kansas to choose weather or not to allow slavery in the states.

    The union victory by Abraham Lincoln using emancipation proclamation. Was one of the most important battles for the american civil war. It was a one day battle and one of the bloodiest battles

  • Battle of Vicksburg

    General Ulysses S. Grant’s Army in Tennessee marched into Vicksburg, Mississippi river. The union won the victory at port Hudson. We had grained Vicksburg.

    In Gettysburg, Pennsylvania the union and confederate during the american civil war. the battle had more casualties in the beginning of the war and it was the turning point of the war with General Robert E.Lee.
