  • Public Law 94-142

    Congress passed the education for all Handdicapped Children Act. In 1977 it was to assure that all handicapped children got free appropriate public education.
  • Public Law 99-457

    The Education for All Handicapped Children Act was, in fact misnamed. It was not ment for all children of all ages. The title of the Education of the Handicapped Act was changed to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
  • Americans with DisabilitesAct of 1992

    Extends civil rights to persons with disabilities. These rights are guaranted without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, or religion through the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
