He was born on March 21 in San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca. Son of Zapotec Indian parents, legitimate son of Marcelino Juárez and Brígida García. -

• Juárez worked in the house of the bookbinder Antonio Salanueva. Thanks to him, Juárez began his formal education. -
1831 He finished his studies to graduate as a lawyer and collaborated in the law firm of Mr. Tiburcio Cañas. That same year he was elected councilor of the Oaxaca City Council.

1843 July He married Margarita Maza.

1852 He is appointed rector of the Institute of Sciences and Arts; and in turn, teached the chair of civil law.

1867 July 15 After the triumph of the Republic over the Intervention and the Second Empire, Juárez, accompanied by his ministers Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada, José María Iglesias and Ignacio Mejía, made his solemn entrance to the capital of the Republic.
