This book was Kuhn's main work. Here he presents the idea of the paradigm shift which happens when there is a major change in either the concept of practice of how something works. Before Kuhn there was paradigms, but they were looked as puzzles and tools to solve them. They didn't go to completely other theories to prove something.

    The Paradigm Shift
The idea of the paradigm before Kuhn was thought that scientist get puzzles and tools and if they can not solve it it's an anomaly. Kuhn's theory showed that if it cannot be proven their could be another explanation. The paradigm shift is when there is a shift in thinking about a topic, such as the shift from the Ptolemaic model to the Copernican model.
