The Thirty Year War was caused by a religious conflict in central Europe. Overall the war wasn't really about religion and more about who was going to govern Europe. This was was the most brutal for how long the war lasted and the deaths. The casualties from this war were 8 million. The Storming of the Bastile was an event that took place in the summer of 1789 and is the first event that started the French Revolution. This event was caused by King Louis XVI's poor ruling skills. During this event, the military governor of the Bastille, Bernard-René Jordan de Launay fought against a great crowd armed with muskets, swords, and various makeshift weapons. He was able to hold them off for a bit till he surrendered. After this he was tried by the council, but then was murdered -
