This was was the most brutal for how long the war lasted and the deaths. The casualties from this war were 8 million. One of the most important parts of the war was the Peace of Westphalia which effectively ended the war

He then left the country which at the time was on the brink of bankruptcy. The importance of the french revolution was that it put an end to the feudal system and absolute monarchy.

    The Storming of the Bastile was an event that took place in the summer of 1789 and is the first event that started the French Revolution. This event was caused by King Louis XVI's poor ruling skills. During this event, the military governor of the Bastille, Bernard-René Jordan de Launay fought against a great crowd armed with muskets, swords, and various makeshift weapons. He was able to hold them off for a bit till he surrendered. After this he was tried by the council, but then was murdered
