The Results
Hannah learns that one of her matches is Marcus Cooley, a popular boy who Hannah likes. He calls her and asks her to go to Rosie's after school that day -
The Date, pt I
Hannah goes to Rosie's after school to meet Marcus. She ends up waiting by herself for half an hour, and is sure Marcus isn't going to show up when he at last enters. -
The Date, pt II
Marcus sits next to Hannah in a booth, squishing her between himself and the wall. He proceeds to start feeling up her thigh, and when he refuses to stop, Hannah pushes him out of the booth. He calls her a tease in front of everyone. -
The Survey
Clay reflects on how he filled out the same survey Hannah took as a joke. He thinks about how they probably would have been matched up had he taken it more seriously. -
The Movie Theater
Clay thinks about how he decided to work for the movie theater because he wanted to get to know Hannah better, even though he never took advantage of his opportunities. He remembers a night when he saw Bryce come in with a date, and the girl left early crying. Bryce then started hitting on Hannah and she looked as if she liked him. Clay thinks about how he should've done more to protect Hannah. -
