    People began to expand to different regions of the world, where they had adapted to living in areas which contained fertile land such as the Fertile Crescent.

    Rise of suburban areas and cities forming civilization

    During this time period, places such as ancient Mesopotamia had begun to form, creating the foundation for civilization.
  • 2500 BCE

    Rise of agriculture

    Due to migration to Indo-European areas, agricultural techniques had begun spreading such as the cultivation of various different crops.
  • 1500 BCE

    Spread to other regions

    The spread of agriculture expanded to Southeast and East Asia with rice and millet cultivation. Pastoral migration also reshaped parts of the Middle East and India.
  • 1000 BCE

    Further Migration to Southeast Asia

    Austronesian migration had begun with people migrating to Southeast Asia while expanding the agriculture with things such as taro, yams, and animals.

    Austronesian Expansion

    People had continued to explore the Indian Ocean with agriculture also spreading to Northern Europe and sub-Saharan Africa
