Jan 2, 1843 The next day he concentrated more on the idea, deciding the positives sides of how he may benefit. Jan 3, 1843 The narrator would go into the old mans chambers and watch him while he slept. Jan 3, 1843 The old man heard noises from the narrator and awoken from his sleep questioning what had frightened him. Jan 4, 1843 The narrator kills the old man by dismembering his body parts and hiding them under the floor boards. Jan 5, 1843 A suspicious neighbor complains, and three policemen show up at the narrators house to investigate. Jan 6, 1843 The narrator invites the policemen in to investigate while being entirely calm. Jan 7, 1843 The narrator becomes ancy with guilt and pressure. Jan 8, 1843 The narrator breaks and announces to the policemen than he murdered the old man and hid his body under the floor boards.
