On 6th September, 1620, a group of pilgrims left England and travelled to America, because they wanted freedom.

On 9th November, 1620, the pilgrims arrived at land, they build a village called Plymouth, and more people arrived at the village.

In 1750 the British had 13 colonies on the east coast of North America.

From 1754 to 1763 there was war between French and British, and finally the British won the war.

On 4th July, 1776, the colonies declared independence from Great Britain, Washington attacked the British and defeated them. They called their new nation the United States of America.

In 1803 Napoleon sold the United States for €15 million, Thomas Jefferson aceppted and the country expanded.

In 1830 the EE.UU forced 15,000 people to leave to their homes for another territory. This journey was called "Trail of Tears".

The Civil War appared from 1861 to 1865.

In 1861 the Civil War started. The south had a Confederacy and attackeda Union fort. Many people died after the war and in 1865 the Confederate surrendered. The war ended but more that 600,000 people died. Finally the country became a united nation.
