Trademart had been a custom in the village, until the leader Jonas's abolishes it and the problems it occurs. Trademaster is abolished a long with it.

Jonas and Kira are married.

Claire has finallly had her baby, but since she was having problems at birth, they had to "carve" her. She was decertified after, and is left with questions.

Jonas has been entitled to the Reciever of Memory, which Claire has no idea what that is, but later finds it's the nurturer's son.

"Abe" has been voted to be killed, and Jonas takes the baby the night before it is to happen, and dissapears. Claire vaguely remembers anything and is lost out at sea.

Claire appears ashore in new village with no memory of her past life. She lives there for awhile amongst the people picking up on things she never knew and trying to figure out what happened.

Claire regains her memory of that night and has decided to start working for what she wants. Einar starts to train her to make the climb.

Claire begins her climb to the top and is attacked by a bird, whereas when she gets to the top. She makes her trade with Trademaster.

Gabe notices an older women around the village watching him al the time, and he's questioning more about his past.

Claire finally realizes she is dieing, and decides to tell Jonas her life story and it all makes sense to Jonas Now.

Gabe is trying to build a boat to get out of the village, but is uncessful. Jonas arrives and says he wants to talk to Jonas and tells him all about trade mart.

Jonas is called to Claire because she is at her death bed, and Jonas goes to Gabe, and Jonas finally tells Gabe Claire's story to find him. That she had given up her youth just to find him. Gabe is now set on the mission to find TradeMaster and kill him before he dies.

Gabe has to fight Trademaster. He realizes he can't kill him, but uses his powers to veer, and understand him. He is succesfulll and everyone is happy ever after.
